T. Anthony's Simple Architecture and Bold Colors

"Duffle Mania - What's On Your Arm"
- Calista Avery, Editorial Review Author

The Scene:

We spotted it on designer Christian Louboutin's arm while returning from Seville and instantly fell in love. T. Anthony, aka Theodore Anthony, designed cosmetic cases for Elizabeth Arden before opening his own boutique on Upper Madison Avenue in Manhattan in 1946. Today, his grandson has taken the reigns of the company and created a signature duffle collection (shown: Concorde Duffle) for savvy travelers. It screams of Palm Springs Racquet Club with white-leather piping against dark green and black canvas. A roomy main compartment is large enough for a pair of shoes side-by-side, but still small enough to bypass the Airline Gestapo.

Known as the Monogram Miroired Speedy 30, it’s a classic Louis Vuitton tote with a single zipper opening easily sported on the hand or wrist. The soft metallic fabric features the Louis Vuitton monogram across the face and side inseam. A smaller Papillon, worn on the shoulder, offers a more portable and casual look and use. Both the Papillon and Speedy 30 are substantially smaller than the Keepall, which was worn and ruined by Paris Hilton and her BFF’s for inappropriate usage. Regardless of size, the mirrored accessory comes in both gold or silver. Ideal usage would be with an all-black ensemble. There are pretty much no exceptions.
